So, I am once again coming to the place were I am realizing that when it comes to natural child birth even the best laid plans mean nothing. Our baby is not due until the 22nd of January, but I had hoped and was planning on our new little one coming sooner then that. I know, I know, it is only the 13th today but Paul's new job needs him to be away from the 21st to the 31st with little to no time to come home... and when I started having hours of pre-labor on Christmas Eve we thought maybe this baby would come before Paul's time away so that our Daddy can be home and around a bit more. So in the spirit of helping things along I started looking up natural ways to help induce labor... and well, still no such luck. I ate so much spicy food that I was in the bathroom for two days and that didn't help... Paul has been rubbing the reflexology points on my feet and ankles so much that I have bruises... and I am drinking tea and taking herbs till I am blue in the face. Then last night as I was laying in bed praying that Heavenly Father would send this little one while Paul is around, I had the most clear and loud thought come to my mind that this waiting game is indeed part of the beautifully natural process that I am so passionate about. Natural Birth is natural and baby's come when they are ready, and no matter how hard I try to bring this baby on my time table that's just not how things work. So today I have committed to sleeping as much as I can, enjoying every moment I have with my sweet Emma Hope and staying busy checking items of my project list. And today waiting dose not seem so bad...

I am sorry.I totally know how it is. Seeing as how I have my babies naturally at home. When I was having Hadley I was in Utah County and Sam was still in Cedar working. I know about wanting your husband there. I hope that all goes well and Can't wait to hear how things go.
The anticipation of the baby coming any day is the best part of the ENTIRE pregnancy! Just so fun and exciting. Can't wait to hear!
You are absolutely doing it the right way! They come when they are ready. The morning Violet was born, my midwife checked me and told me that this baby was just not in a good position and not ready (this was 2 1/2 weeks after the "due date") I went home and made a big pot of homemade mac and cheese, went on a walk, and the contractions started coming. She was born that night! They are smart little things already! We are thinking of you and hope everything goes well! It will. You are a strong woman! Much Love from Eugene!
Yay! I'm so excited for you to have a new baby!
I love the name choices. I have to explain my voting though! I voted for Dagen Gabriel and Finn Robinson. Though Finn Gabriel would sound fun too! Just throwing that out there for you!I really liked Finn, but Gabriel; to me sounded better.
You'll know when you see that baby which is the right name! Good luck! Love ya. Hope everything goes smoothly!
