Ok, so here are the names we have picked out. For those of you who know us you know that Paul and I always just wait to meet our babies before we name them. Also we pick names for the meanings… Example: Ian is a Gaelic name that means gift from God and God is forgiving. And Emma as a German name means “All-containing; universal” and as an English name means Ancestress. Emma also might be a form of Erma, a short form of various names which begin with the Germanic element Erm(en), Irm(en) which can mean 'strong' but is more literally translated as "whole" or "universal". So as you can see we have picked these potential names with great care and are excited to have the opportunity to name another one of Heavenly Fathers little spirits in this way.
So here they are… our 2010 list to pick from for our unknown new little one. Please feel free to vote for your favorite name or names on the home page. We would live to know what you think of our craziness! Thanks!

Temperance in eating and drinking is opposed to gluttony and drunkenness, and in other indulgences, to excess.”

Gracie Faith Stead
Gracie is a Latin name meaning good will!
Faith is in theology, the assent of the mind or understanding to the truth of what God has revealed. Simple belief of the scriptures, of the being and perfections of God, and of the existence, character and doctrines of Christ, founded on the testimony of the sacred writers, is called historical or speculative faith; a faith little distinguished from the belief of the existence and achievements.
Tira Mercy Stead
Tira is not a form of any other name and is of Hebrew origin meaning encampment. And encampment is defined as the place where an army or company is encamped; a camp; a regular order of tents or huts for the accommodation of an army or troop.
Mercy is that benevolence, mildness or tenderness of heart which disposes a person to overlook injuries, or to treat an offender better than he deserves; the disposition that tempers justice, and induces an injured person to forgive trespasses and injuries, and to forbear punishment, or inflict less than law or justice will warrant. In this sense, there is perhaps no word in our language precisely synonymous with mercy. That which comes nearest to it is grace. It implies benevolence, tenderness, mildness, pity or compassion, and clemency, but exercised only towards offenders. Mercy is a distinguishing attribute of the Supreme Being.
Baby Boy Names and Meanings:
Mick Andrew Stead
Mick is of Hebrew and English origin. In Hebrew is means “Who is like God” and in English is a short form of Michael. And Michael is the name of several characters in the Old Testament. It is most famously that of one of the archangels, the one closest to God, who has the responsibility of carrying out God's judgments. Michael is regarded as the leader of the heavenly host and is the patron saint of soldiers.
The name Andrew is of Greek origin and means “Man; Warrior”. Andrew was also a disciple of Jesus Christ.
So the name Mick Andrew combined means, a warrior who is like God! What a powerful combo!
Aidan Paul Stead
Aidan Means “Little Fire” and is of Garlic Origin.
The name Paul is of Latin origin and means “Small; Humble”
So the name Aidan Paul has a combined meaning of a Humble Little Fire! A fiery humble man is one of the ways that the great Prophet Brigham Young was described.
Rafe Simeon Stead
The Germanic name Rafe has the unique meaning of “Wolf Council”. But the name with an Indian origin has the powerful meaning of “An efficient man”.
And the Biblical name of Simeon is of Hebrew origin means “listening or one who obeys”. And yet another source put the meaning as “Perfectly obedient to God”.
So an efficient obedient man is a pretty loaded meaning for a little boys name.
Finn Robinson Stead
Finn is another Gaelic name but also has Irish and Nordic origins. The name means fair, white, clear or one with blond hair. The name was borne by the legendary Finn MacCumhail who is an Irish hero from the third century. He was told to be somewhat like the English Robin Hood and his warrior followers were known as the Finians.
And the family name Robinson is most likely of English origin and is the surname for the "son of Robin," although it may also derive from the Polish word "rabin," meaning rabbi. The name Robin is of German origin and means “bright frame”.
So the combined meaning of Finn Robinson is a “fair bright frame”. But the adventurous Robin Hood like legendary and the respect and stature of a rabbi make this name quite exciting as well!
Dagen Gabriel Stead
In contrast with Finn the name Dagen means dark-haired and is of Gaelic and Irish origin. Spelled this way Dagen also has a Hebrew origin and definition of “corn, grain”.
Gabriel is a biblical name of Hebrew origin and means man of God, hero of God, my strength is God, God is my might.
So Dagen Gabriel means a God fearing dark-haired man. This has been one of my favorite baby boy names for several years and the meaning is so fitting because this is probably one of the ways that I would describe my sweet husband Paul. And I would love to have a son that is as wonderful as his Father in this way.

Eli is a Hebrew name meaning height, ascension; God is help, God is my helper.
Kirkham is my father’s middle name and his Father before him. It is a surname of English origin. Kirkham is from the name Kirk, witch is a church, and a village and the name of a small town in
